I love the LA fairs. Part of it is I simply love LA—the weather, people, the idea of getting a wedge salad, juice, and hiking. Felix Art Fair captures the temperature of the city, making it my favourite fair. Felix is held at the Hollywood Roosevelt, giving it a 24/7 party vibe. The David Hockney pool is the perfect temperature. You can get room service. Frieze LA is at the Santa Monica Airport, creating an almost romantic sense that you can collect an artwork and jump on a plane to your next destination.

Muzae Sesay’s booth at pt.2 sold out, but you can view the solo installation here.
Ellen Siebers at Parrasch Heijnen. I can’t stop talking to everyone about how much I love Siebers’s work. Highly recommend following and keeping a close eye on her career.
Whitney Bedford at Vielmetter.

Lauren Michelle Rawlings at And Now—a very cool gallery in Dallas.
Jamiu Agboke at Sea View. You can read more about the gallery in the recent LA Times article titled: Looking for L.A.’s art cool kids? They’re hosting exhibits in laundry rooms and garages.
Annabell Häfner with Tara Downs Gallery. One of my favourite overall booths.
xx see you next week.
